Emma Evelyn Tillman

Emma Evelyn Tillman, 88, of Kinston, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Born into a loving family of 15 children, Emma was preceded in death by all of her siblings, and their parents, Elmer Jackson Tillman and Jessie Belle Summerlin Tillman. 

Emma was a faithful member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church and retired from Caswell Center after working many years as a nurse’s aide. 

She is survived by her son, Ricky Tillman and wife, Brenda, of Seven Springs; grandchildren, Christopher Tillman and wife, Melissa of Kinston and Rheanna Tillman of Kinston; great-grandson, Collin Tillman, along with other close family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Gerald Fowler officiating.
